And B.J. and the crew went home with the 2006 Championship.
There was no stopping B.J. on his road to his first Championship in quite a few years. B.J. and the crew started out 2006 fighting the car but ended the year with what they say is a perfect car for New Smyrna Speedway.

B.J. and the crew will now get ready for the 41st Annual Governor's Cup 200 at New Smyrna Speedway on Saturday, November 18. Be sure to stop by and say hello to B.J. and his crew and congratulate him on his Championship. |

But B.J. was not done and finished third, a very good finish after alot of bad luck at Desoto.
B.J. and the crew will head to New Smyrna Speedway this Saturday, November 11, for the last Bright House Challenge Super Late Model 50 where B.J. leads the points over David Rogers.

| Sunday, August 13, 2006 | | B.J. wins Race 4 of the Bright House Challenge 50 at New Smyrna Speedway | by Jane Smith
Samsula, Fla. (August 12, 2006) Setting fast time and pulling the 7 pill was what B.J. did Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway in the Bright House Challenge 50. B.J. has come to all four races but his luck just never seemed to be on his side but Saturday night fans saw the ole B.J. we all know and love.
B.J. was the only driver of 15 that went below the 18 second mark on qualifying with a 17.949. The rule is that no more than half the field can be inverted with the 7 pill being the highest inversion. Of course B.J. had to pick the 7 but was not upset and felt he still had a great chance of the win.
B.J. silently worked his way up front and on lap 10, B.J. made a great move when Chad Pierce and David Rogers were going side-by-side for the lead on the backstretch and both had to check-up not to wreck each other. Seeing a good opportunity, B.J. just took the outside and went around them both taking the point. Once B.J. got the point, he never looked back even on restarts.
B.J. went on to take the checkered and his first Bright House Challenge win over Chad Pierce, Bobby Coyle, Sam Watts, and Matt Martin.
Congratulations B.J.!!!! |
| Monday, May 1, 2006 | | B.J. has to settle for 19th after battery failure | B.J. and the crew headed to Lakeland's USA International for the Sunbelt Bright House 125. B.J. was fast and qualified well. B.J. took his time and when it was right, began to make his move up front. Just as it looked like B.J. was headed to second, the battery in his car went dead. All that work was done in one split second as B.J. had to settle for a 19th place finish on lap 95.
B.J. and the crew will head next to Desoto Super Speedway this Saturday for the All American Challenge Series race. Be sure to stop by and say hello to B.J. and the crew. |
| Sunday, April 2, 2006 | | B.J. takes 11th in All American Challenge at Desoto Super Speedway April 1 | B.J. and the crew headed to Desoto Super Speedway for the April 1 All American Challenge Series race. B.J. qualified 14th and finished 11th in the feature. B.J. now stands 3rd in points for the All American Challenge Late Model Series.
Catch B.J. at Desoto Super Speedway for the All American Challenge Series races and at USA International on April 29th for the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series race. |
| Monday, March 20, 2006 | | B.J.'s Night Ends Early at New Smyrna Speedway | After finishing fourth in the last two All American Challenge races, B.J. journeyed to New Smyrna Speedway on March 18 for the first Sunbelt Super Late Model Series race of 2006. But B.J.'s night ended way too early as he lost his engine in hot laps. B.J. was forced to watch the race and not enter the race.
The next All American Challenge Series race will be April 1st with the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series going to Citrus County Speedway on April 8th.

| Monday, March 13, 2006 | | B.J. takes 4th at Desoto Super Speedway March 11 | B.J. once again went to Desoto Super Speedway for some racing action in the Saturday night, March 11, All American Challenge 125. B.J. qualified fourth and finished fourth.

B.J. and the crew have high hopes for 2006 and by the way it has started, it will be a very good year for the No. 78 Super Late Model.

| Monday, March 6, 2006 | | B.J. finishes 4th in the LeRoy Porter Ice Breaker 125 at Desoto Super Speedway | Bradenton, Fla. B.J. and the crew joined in the celebration at Desoto Super Speedway for the LeRoy Porter Ice Breaker 125. B.J. had the car fine tuned qualifying third and finishing fourth in the race.

| Wednesday, February 22, 2006 | | B.J. finishes 10th Overall in the 2006 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway | B.J. and the crew were extremely happy this year at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. The car came in, no major accident, finishing tenth in overall points.
On Friday night B.J. qualified with the pole but pulled a 10 pill. After much thought, B.J. decided to withdraw from the race and save the racecar for the most important race to B.J. and the crew, the Pete Orr Memorial 100. It is one race that B.J. wants to win the most other than the Governor's Cup run in November of each year.
B.J. raced very little in 2005 and considered himself rusty, but the World Series showed that B.J. is quickly becoming himself again and will be in Winner's Circle a number of times in 2006.
Watch for B.J. and the crew in the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series, at Orlando SpeedWorld, New Smyrna Speedway, and Desoto Super Speedway. |
